Dining with Disneyland Characters

If you truly want to delight your child - or yourself - you should book a Disneyland Character visit Meal. This will allow you and your family to spend quality time with one or more Disney characters. In fact, this is the best way to interact with them for an extended period of time.

Make a reservation first. This can be accomplished by contacting the Disneyland Vacation Planning Services Department. Reservations can be made up to sixty days ahead of time, so don't wait until the last minute. Make these reservations while planning your Disneyland vacation.

Every morning, the park hosts a character breakfast. These meals do not require a reservation.

Breakfast is served in many of the parks' restaurants, but Goofy's Kitchen is a good place to start. It's in the Disneyland Hotel, and there's something for everyone. Children under the age of three eat for free, which should be taken into account when budgeting for your trip. Goofy and Pluto are always present, but other characters come and go throughout the day. You should definitely make reservations for Goofy's Kitchen, as it is very popular and has a long wait.

If you want to dine with Princesses, Ariel's Grotto is the place to be. This elegant dining establishment serves three-course meals that both children and adults can enjoy. Each princess will come to your table one at a time to spend some time with you during your meal.

Reservations are also recommended for Ariel's Grotto.

This is one of the few spots in the park where both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available.

Character Meals are also highly recommended at the Storyteller's Café. However, the characters are only present during breakfast. While the Characters do not spend time at each individual table, they do interact with the children as a group. Reservations are strongly recommended for both buffet and menu dining. Minnie Mouse, like Lilo and Stitch, has a Character Breakfast.

Breakfast with Minnie and Friends is extremely popular, so make reservations as soon as possible.

A Character Meal or two should undoubtedly be included in your Disneyland vacation plans. This is something your child will remember for the rest of their lives, and interacting with the famous Disney characters we all know and love is a big part of what Disneyland is all about! Make your reservations as far in advance as possible.
